When someone asks how staff used AI, answer from the record.

Verillian is the system of record for your agency-wide AI use, kept on your own servers.

The Verillian Audit activity list for 15 October: 52 interactions, each with the person, the device, the AI service and the model, and the decision, with the denied request to send email to the Anthropic API among them. The top of a Verillian Audit record, Turn 3, Denied: the person, the device, the AI service and the model, and the tool call to send email with the note that a block policy denied it, and the policy that applied.

Hand the auditor the record.

Choose the dates and devices in scope, and export the records. The export is recorded too, under the name of the person who ran it.

The record shows exactly what the AI received.

Questions auditors and clerks ask

Can a record be changed or deleted?

No. Records are append only: they cannot be altered or deleted from the console or the record.

Where are the records kept?

On your own servers. Content is encrypted to your organization's key, created in your administrator's browser. Verillian never receives that key.

Is each record checked when it arrives?

Verillian checks the signature on each record as it arrives, for devices with a registered key.
